Covid Plan

Covid update Febuary 11, 2023

Curl Regina, the Callie and the Highland have reviewed the changes to the vaccine mandate and the upcoming removal of Public Health Orders.  Curl Regina has decided to continue with our current policy of vaccination mandate and masking for the remainder of the curling season.

We have had a very safe curling environment and do not wish to jeopardize curler safety.  Cleaning protocols remain in place for the remainder of the season as well.

We trust our curlers will abide with the policy until the end of the season.

 Vaccination and Masking Policy

With the recent announcement of new health measures by the Government of Saskatchewan, our organizations including Curl Regina, the Caledonian Curling Club and the Highland Curling Club have finalized a vaccination and masking policy. Curlers in Regina will be able to participate in the sport of curling under one consistent policy for the 2021/2022 curling season.

Vaccination Policy

Effective immediately, the organizations will require mandatory proof of vaccination for all curlers, coaches, officials, staff, volunteers and patrons above the age of 11.

Curlers can expect to show proof of vaccination once before commencement of your first curling game of the season. Each organization will provide further detailed instruction to their membership to ensure compliance.

Vaccination Definition: individuals above the age of 11 must be able to verify they have received two doses of Pfizer, Moderna or AstraZeneca vaccines (or a mixture of two) or a single dose of Johnson and Johnson to be permitted to enter the facilities.

Acceptable proof of vaccination will include one of the following: the vaccination record available through eHeath Saskatchewan (printed or digital) along with photo ID, wallet card along with photo ID or QR code. Individuals under the age of 18 will not be required to show their ID.

Masking Policy

The organizations are following the masking requirements as set out by the Government of Saskatchewan.

Masks are not required on the ice surface during play, however we strongly recommend that curlers continue to wear their masks.

Curling Rules of Play

Normal curling play will resume. Currently we are not requiring any modifications to the rules of play.

The Clubs will continue to monitor the ongoing pandemic and ensure that the principles of the COVID-19 policy are reviewed and updated as is required.

We appreciate your ongoing patience, understanding and cooperation. We look forward to a safe season and are excited to get back on the ice!
